I had a good telephone conversation with Garry Newton this week; he is from Eastbourne Town football club. I'm planning to attend the long awaited Eastbourne derby (Eastbourne Town vs Eastbourne Borough). It will be great to be at such a massive event in the town. Garry is a very positive and forward thinking guy and has asked me to attend the match, and who knows maybe my world bronze medal will make an appearance? But its so refreshing to see the two sports linking up and to be able to support my local club is a big deal for me. Eastbourne is a winner either way what ever the result!
