What a week, training has been great although the weather has not been so kind!
Training in Brighton and Lewes for the morning run sessions, Chris Minn, myself and of course our Coach, had to brave the monsoon conditions! Shivering with cold, I expected some comforting words from Mr King, of course this was in vain with a reply ‘Stop your whinging!’
The intense weight program is proving to be very very demanding on the body, but of course this is what we expect and have definitely had to whack the weights up on squats, I am not failing!!!!
Friday was a great evening down Brighton Metropole for the Sussex Sports awards,
a superb evening was put on, I had family and friends to support me and they weren’t disappointed, I am honoured to have received the Young Sports Personality award! This is a great way to close my fantastic 2010 season, and is nice to be recognised. But of course none of this would have been possible without huge support from family, friends and my ever patient coach Steve King!
After being out danced hugely on the dance floor by my parents, there was not much time for recovery as next morning I was off to Crystal Palace at 7.45am for an exhausting session with Donovan Reid AND a naughty 800m time trial, after all the very demanding sprint drills!
